Beggali Bread Recipe
Was the year the "Paggali bread" recipe was founded in India which later on will be known as the "Beggali bread" in Malaysia.
British Malaya Bakery
Founded by the local Indian Muslim community who came from Madras India.
They brought mango seeds from India to grow the tree next to the shop believing that the tree would bring good luck to the business.
During the Japanese occupation, the Japanese did not like the "British Malaya", so the shop was renamed.
After WWII, the shop was then managed by a group of family members who are also known as "Paggalis" (meaning shareholders) and renamed it "Ismalia Bakery"
"Maliia Bakery" is now the new founded name by the third generation "paggalis". Currently active across the northern territory of Malaysia.
